Dinky Ford Cortina Rally 212
My first venture into a mode modern Dinky model. Made between 1965-1970 this model was made in different versions. The Mk1 Cortina was made as a regular saloon, a lotus and a rally car. The seat backs are missing, no steering wheel, doors almost off their hinges, one each jewelled headlamps front and back missing, top spotlight missing, only one tire, rusted axles and suspension, windscreen pillar broken, all begs the question if this is worth restoring. With a value on eBay of between $2 and $25 for a mint example, I guess not. After stripping and paint removal the door was tested for fit. The picture shows that the door is out of alignment which means the body shell is twisted. This will be corrected. So this one is going to get a Code 3 makeover./images/212 Ford Cortina Rally Base.jpg)
