Dinky Motor Truck 22c
A corroded truck, the axles were rusty and the wheels did not turn. The body had corrosion holes in the roof and hood which needed repair. The truck bed and sides just needed a rub down after stripping the paint. The history of this model leaves a few questions to answer. It was only made pre-war but the axles were of the larger diameter. I have both the early model with back window and smooth hubs and a late model, this one, with ridged hubs. Neither had the dreaded metal fatigue normally associated with pre-war models. It may have been that this was made for the USA market and was better constructed or more than likely, was also made post war. So after the paint and corrosion was removed a respray, new tires axles and detailingh was completed. Made by Dinky 1947-1950 (Closed Rear Window)/images/truck 22c base.jpg)
