Dinky Alfa-Romeo 23f

No tires on this one, but the paint was original and well playworn. This is the next in the series of restorations and begun before the first was complete. Not always a good plan, but I have to source some more paint colors for the first one. Alway keep the parts of each car separate and safe. I use a ziplock bag, they are cheap enough. So, since I started this one, I have finished quite a few and it was about time to complete this. I used an all in one primer/top coat, but I have to say that this was not a good idea. Primer does give much better coverage, it covers edges where as top coat tried to pull back from them. The sticking ability of primer gets around this problem. Never the less, I persisted with several coats until I was satisfied with the result. Finished with some silver on the grille and exhaust, white and brown for the cockpit and the driver and a touch of black on the goggles for authenticity.
